The March issue of MRO Management is now online

This year marks our twentieth in print, and we remain the leading publication for all aspects of commercial aircraft maintenance.

Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico faced many challenges, with volunteers from across the Lufthansa Group’s global network coming together to support the 320 employees affected by the destruction on the Caribbean island. Thanks to the rapid response by the group, operations were back to normal by the end of November.

Meanwhile, from its US headquarters, AAR services aircraft from all over the world. The largest MRO in the Americas, it has recently expanded into Canada, with new facilities in Quebec and Ontario.

And with the percentage of engineers nearing retirement age growing and recruitment drives struggling to fill vacancies, training the next generation of US maintenance workers is an increasingly pressing challenge for the industry. Communication between airlines, schools and parents will be needed to ensure this can be resolved.
